Sir Lawrence (Lorenz) Mba is a seasoned C-suite executive and multidisciplinary strategist with over 38 years of leadership experience across five key sectors—Consumer Packaged Goods (FMCGs), Banking, Insurance, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Consulting. Known for his capacity to drive transformational change through purpose-led strategy, he currently serves as Managing Partner at Canig Innovative Solutions, where he leads high-impact branding and business transformation projects for clients in fintech, legal services, and the oil and gas sector.
Lorenz is also the Founder of the Waka Community Foundation, a global wellness movement that began in Africa in 2021 and now spans 46 countries with a growing membership of over 50,000 individuals. Waka promotes sustainable health habits—walking, hydration, responsible eating, and rest—as a public good. With copyright protection in 179 countries and a robust online and offline presence, Waka is reshaping wellness culture across continents, one step at a time.

Academically, Lorenz earned a General Management MBA from IESE Business School (Spain)—one of Europe’s Ivy League institutions—and completed advanced executive training at both HEC Paris and Lagos Business School, where he was elected Class President. He also holds a BSc in Political Science and Administration from the University of Calabar.
